Since confirming her split from Eamonn Holmes back in May, Ruth Langsford has been positively glowing, and it’s not just a change in lifestyle that’s caught the eye.
The presenter has reportedly lost an impressive stone and a half since the breakup. Fans on Instagram haven’t missed a beat, showering the 64 year old with praise for her transformation.
In a chat with Woman Magazine, personal trainer Laurel Alper observed: “Ruth looks like she’s slimmed down from a size 16 to 14. She’s probably lost about 1st 7lb – you can really see she’s lost weight across her middle, thighs and face.”
Known for being open about her weight and diet, Ruth’s recent social media posts have given followers a peek at her “healthier” approach to the year, showcasing lunches filled with boiled eggs, turkey, and salad, along with her homemade green juice routine featuring ginger, spinach, cucumber, pineapple, apple, and water. “I take this to work most days,” Ruth explained to her followers, insisting it helps her avoid processed foods.
“[It] stops me grabbing unhealthy, processed food. Even when you make a healthy choice and buy a salad, in my experience, they’re mostly leaves!

“This way you get a good, decent portion salad and you get to put all the things you like in it! ENJOY!”
Beyond dieting, Ruth aims for 10,000 daily steps with her dog Maggie and is a proponent of high-intensity exercise routines, reports Lancs Live.
The mother-of-one, who is always on the move to maintain her fitness and health, recently opened up about her struggles with weight management post-menopause. During a candid chat on Loose Women, she confessed: “I’ve never really had huge problems with weight gain, I’ve been very lucky.”

“I like good food so I eat well and I cook, but the weight gain and the shape change in menopause I’ve really struggled with, and I try really hard.”
Since her split from Eamonn, 65, Ruth has reportedly stayed single, while he has found new love with 42-year-old relationship counsellor Katie Alexander. During a light moment on Loose Women, Ruth humorously addressed her divorce for the first time.
In a conversation about encountering an ex at family gatherings, she remarked: “I think it’s very selfish when you hear parents say, ‘Well if they are divorced then, I’m not coming to your wedding if he’s coming’ or ‘If she is there’ and I just think it’s so selfish isn’t it, because it is their day.”
Mariella Frostrup chimed in, saying, “That’s a whole other subject isn’t it? How to divorce well?” prompting Ruth to quip: “Oh, tell me about it,” which set off a round of laughter in the studio.
