Loose Women favourite Coleen Nolan has revealed how she shed two stone in weight by following a simple diet plan.
The Blackpool celeb admits losing weight wasn’t on her mind when she initially started to change her eating habits. Despite this, Coleen said she has felt the benefits of doing so.
She explained on Loose Women last year that she was following a vegan lifestyle after she said she couldn’t try some mince pies on the show. In an interview with Bella, she said: “I feel much better than I’ve ever felt. I’ve changed my diet and had my teeth done, which I just love, I can’t stop smiling.”
She also said she “probably dropped a couple of stone” whilst following the diet and was inspired by her daughter to follow a plant-based diet. Coleen also previously revealed her health had her worried before her weight loss.

She spoke about concerns she could be in a mobility scooter by the time she was 60 due to having bad hips and a bad back. Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products and involves eating lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and legumes.
Healthline said: “Vegans tend to be thinner and have a lower body mass index than non-vegans. This might explain why an increasing amount of people turn to vegan diets as a way to lose weight.”
However, it’s not all about diet, with Healthline explaining that many people who follow a plant-based diet tend to have a healthier lifestyle. Veganism isn’t a restrictive diet either with plenty of foods available to eat following the plan.
One celebrity who has followed a plant-based diet in recent years is Simon Cowell who explained how he turned to almond milk and cut out yoghurt. Healthline states almond milk is a great source of vitamin A and vitamin D as well as having the same amount of protein as cows milk.
He said: “If you’re on a diet you have to keep the food sensible, but it’s got to be interesting and tasty, then the diet’s surprisingly easy.
Simon is said to consume a green smoothie and no-sugar Alpen for breakfast with tea and oat milk or almond milk. This is then followed by a lunch of grilled tomatoes and soup.
“Sometimes when we are going out for dinner because I know I’m going to hate the food, I have baked beans on toast before I go, then eat nothing,” Simon told The Sun.
